I/We wish to engage Jasmine Judge, trading as Westside Paws with ABN 617 819 271, to assist me/us in the training of my/our dog(s): on the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

METHODS AND ETHICS:

Our training philosophy revolves around positive reinforcement methods exclusively. We steer clear of correction chains, compulsion tactics, intimidation, physical coercion, and the use of spray collars, electronic collars, prong collars, or any form of 'dog whispering' techniques. Furthermore, we do not condone actions that involve forcing dogs or puppies onto their backs or restraining them by their muzzles. Any form of hitting, yelling, or forceful behavior towards dogs is strictly prohibited in both our classes and consultations.

When you choose to train with us, you acknowledge and accept that any use of harsh methods will not be tolerated, and it may lead to termination of our services. In group classes, the use of such methods will result in the forfeiture of remaining class fees and the discontinuation of services. We are committed to promoting positive-based methods exclusively in all our offerings, including group classes and private consultations.

ATTENDING CLASS/PRIVATE TRAINING:

When attending our classes you are required to we adequate footwear and clothing. Arriving late to class may result in you being asking to leave as this can disrupt other dogs and their owners.

When attending with children, or if a child is present during a session, it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure the supervision and safety of the child. Young children are particularly vulnerable to potential harm from dogs, especially those they are not familiar with. If you bring small children to our classes, we kindly request that you closely supervise them and refrain from allowing them to interact with other dogs in the class. Should you choose to permit interactions between your child and other dogs, please be aware that any resulting harm or injury is not the liability of Westside Paws.

HEALTH AND VACCINATIONS:

All puppies and adult dogs need to be current on their vaccinations or have proof of titre testing. If any dogs seem unwell during classes or private sessions, we may request rescheduling your appointment with us.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

All refunds incur a $10 administration fee.

For missed group classes, make-up sessions may not be available, and fees will be forfeited accordingly. However, if your female dog enters heat during a group course, you can postpone remaining sessions to a later course group. Please note that if you're aware of an upcoming absence due to reasons like holidays or other events when booking a course, we may not be able to offer substitute classes.

Regarding private consultations, if cancelled within 24 hours, all fees are forfeited unless due to an unavoidable personal emergency, injury, or illness. No-shows will also result in forfeiture of fees. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance of the session will not incur charges and can be rescheduled within the month.

DOG TO DOG INTERATCTIONS:

During class sessions and private consultations, we request that you maintain a safe distance from all other dogs and individuals, keeping outside of your dog's leash length reach. Any social interactions between dogs will be supervised by the trainer after assessing your dog's sociability. If you choose to engage in such interactions, you do so at your own risk, and as the dog's owner, you will be held responsible for any resulting injuries.

Westside Paws will not assume liability for injuries stemming from unsupervised interactions within our training facility premises or outside of scheduled sessions. By receiving our services or accessing information on this website, you agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, fees, or legal actions arising from such interactions or information provided.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND SHARING OF INFORMATION:

All materials provided to you during sessions, including handouts and reports, are copyrighted to Westside Paws. Any sharing of this information with the public requires prior consent from us. To obtain written consent, please contact us at jasmine@westsidepaws.com.au

PRIVACY:

Westside Paws respects your privacy and ensures that any information collected about you is used solely to provide our services. Your personal details, such as name, address, and contact information, will not be shared with any third party without your consent. Any sharing of information will only occur if it directly relates to the care of your dog or the services you receive, and only with your explicit permission. This may include referrals to other service providers, such as veterinarians or behaviour consultants, at your discretion.

While photographs may be taken during classes, we make every effort to remove identifying information and avoid including images of faces. If any images or videos include client faces, we will seek your consent at the time before sharing them.
