Why Raw Dog Feeding?

As a professional in the dog training industry, I often get asked what do you feed your dogs?

I’ve been through many different companies over the years and have settled with CDK9 Raw for the boys and Lyka for Ally. Are we doesn’t love the offal aspect in raw form so Lyka works really well for her.

A really important part of introducing raw food or even any new diet is to gradually go over the course of 10 days so rather than just giving the new food in a bowl which is bound to cause stomach upsets, I’ve added a little guide on one of the next slides.

The other thing I’ve learnt over studying Pet aromatherapy is how important it is to add a digestive enzyme, and the one that I’m using is obviously doTERRA human Grade (I also use this).

doTERRA TerraZyme® capsules

TerraZyme provides a specialized complex of active whole-food enzymes that aid the digestion of proteins and carbohydrates, helps to reduce gas production (so no more stinky farts), and can prevent intolerance of certain food compounds. In particular, it helps the body break down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins from food.

You might ask about the oils.

Are oils safe for pets to consume? The short answer is yes, some are but like anything you need to ensure the quality of the oils and the only ones I’ll use are DoTerra.

Ally gets oils twice daily WITH food. One drop of each - Copaiba and Frankincense.

Ernie and Ian get oils twice daily WITH food. They get two drops of each - Copiaba, frankincense, and turmeric.

So why the oils?

Because they help and are natural and pure.

There are many ways to use oils - diffusion, topically, and internally.

With their natural and pure properties that offer support, oils are a great choice for both humans and pets, providing a range of benefits, enhancing well-being, and promoting a healthier lifestyle through the power of natural methods.
